Starting off sweetly, the comedian reflected on their past, recalling how the pair met. Like many Hollywood couples, the two connected on the set of “The Kitchen,” an opportunity the Los Angeles native remains grateful for.
According to the “Night School” star, her affair with Common was “the healthiest, most fun relationship I’ve ever had.” Compared to her previous romances, “That’s where I feel the most secure out of all the relationships I’ve ever had,” the entertainer said.
Despite the joy he felt with the actor “Just Wright”, the musician slowly stopped considering Haddish as the source of his happiness. The father-of-one is said to have started withdrawing, attending important events without one as usual.
The ceremony included a New York concert and Barack Obama’s birthday party. If leaving him to go solo to such important parties didn’t pose any danger, the truth of Common’s disinterest in him became clear when the “I Used to Like Him” artist didn’t invite his girlfriend to his birthday party.
Following this series of disturbing behaviour, the 51-year-old finally ended their relationship. However, the Chicagoan allegedly wasn’t brave enough to do it in person, as he broke Haddish’s heart over the phone.
“It’s not together,” the stand-up personality said. “It was more about him saying, ‘I think this relationship has gone well.’ And I was like, ‘Okay. Like you’re going to be a 50-year-old single man. Good?'”

When asked if her words were true, Haddish disagreed. According to the author of “The Last Black Unicorn”, the “Silo” actor seems to have a habit of breaking up with women. Referring to some of Common’s famous affairs, the Los Angeles native said:
“He’s probably the type of person who’s never really satisfied with somebody. Maybe he’s like, you know, like a bee that goes from flower to flower to flower. I don’t know. I wish you nothing but joy and happiness, you know .”

“I miss him. I miss him from time to time, but that’s with, I think, any intimate relationship you might have; you miss them. But I’m fine with it. Cool,” Haddish admitted.
