Timothy Brown began his football career at Ball State College in Muncie, Indiana. He played just one game for the Green Bay Packers, eight seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles, and one season for the Baltimore Colts in the National Football League (NFL). In 1968, he scored the game-winning touchdown in the NFL Championship Game, and his final game with the Colts came two weeks later in Super Bowl III.
As a result, he was the first player in Philadelphia to return a kickoff 105 yards for a touchdown, and the only Eagle to return two kickoffs.
