Turner’s rep shared a statement on Instagram: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With his music and his boundless zest for life, he captivated millions of fans around the world and inspired future stars.”
The statement continued, “Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who left us all his best work: his music. Our sincere condolences to his family. Tina, we will miss you so much.”

She Recently Lost Her Son Ronnie
In December 2022, Turner mourned the sudden death of his son Ronnie at the age of 62. He wrote to Instagram, “Ronnie, you left the world too soon. I close my eyes in sorrow and think of you, my beloved child.” He included a black and white photo of himself with his eyes closed on the post.
His wife, singer Afida Turner also posted a tribute on her Instagram page and partially captioned, “I did my best until this last time I couldn’t save you. I have loved you for 17 years, this is very very bad and I am very angry. This is your tragedy with your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Aline rest in heaven… So unfair.”

Turner previously lost a son, Craig, who died aged 59 after committing suicide. The singer shared in an interview after his death, that he did not know what caused his son’s shock.
The Queen of Rock’n’Roll later opened up about it in her chat CBS News Gayle King and claims she believes he took her own life because she was lonely.
“I think Craig is alone, that’s what I think really makes him more than anything else,” she said, adding that she has pictures of him smiling, and she thinks he’s in a good place.
