Tino Franco Doesn’t Think He And Rachel Recchia Will ‘Ever Speak Again’

Last season in the “Bachelorette: After the Finale Rose” episode, “Bachelorette” lead Rachel Recchia announced that her last man, Tino Franco, cheated on her a few weeks after the two got engaged, leading to an awkward reunion live on stage.

Both individuals went their separate ways, and now, Recchia is preparing to go on “Bachelor In Heaven”. After it was announced that the 27-year-old would be returning to the franchise, his ex, Tino Franco, decided to talk about the position of the two today.

Franco opens up about his current relationship, or lack thereof, with his ex, Rachel Recchia.

“I know deep in my heart that there’s no future there, and I don’t think we’ll ever talk to each other again,” Franco told “The Bachelor” alum Courtney Robertson during the latest episode of his “After Reality” podcast.

He then explains how the two of them haven’t spoken since the awkward live finale. “I think, a few odd years ago, he tried to reach out and I was just like, ‘I don’t know if we’re ever going to get to the point where we have something to talk about, but this is too soon. for me,'” she admitted. “But personally, I don’t think there’s anything for us to talk about.”

Regarding the closure, Franco says he’s not that type of guy. “I’m not one for repetition or ‘I need more closure’,” she explains. “I was like, ‘I think I’ve seen every little bit of this situation — and you, [Rachel] — that I need, so let’s just grow up here, remember the loss, and leave.’”

On the episode “After the Finale Rose”, after the world watched Recchia and Franco break it off following the alleged cheating, Franco apologized to “The Bachelorette”.

“Rachel, I’m sorry,” Franco began. “My actions rest on me and I own them completely. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize for what I did. I’m sorry that it took me so long to tell you, and I’m sorry that the meeting came off as if I was trying to place any responsibility for what I did on you.”

He went on to say how much he wished “everyone could really see the love story that we’ve had,” but ended up bringing the ring back. “When we start letting our conversation slip into ‘I can’t love you anymore,’ and you say you don’t want to wear that ring…”

Rachel Recchia immediately interjected, “Do you want to get into it? We are going through a very difficult time and it is very personal to both of us. And I think neither of us want to explain why that happened, but we can. Do you want to talk about it?”

In the end, neither succeeded at all. Rachel Recchia is single and will appear on the upcoming season of “Bachelor In Paradise”.
