There’s something wrong going on behind the scenes at “Today.”
During the February 28 broadcast, Savannah Guthrie suddenly left midway through the first hour of the four-hour NBC show.

Guthrie began co-presenting at 7 a.m. ET with Sheinelle Jones, but sparked concern after she appeared absent after the commercial break around 7:30 a.m.
Her sudden departure from Tuesday’s show comes amid Hoda Kotb’s mysterious week-long absence.
Fans have expressed concern about Kotb’s well-being and health and want to know why he has been missing since February 17.
Hoda didn’t directly address fans’ concerns, but she did post a cryptic quote on Instagram that may have a deeper meaning than meets the eye.

Around 9 a.m. ET, Jones revealed why Guthrie had to leave so quickly and suddenly.
“It was an interesting morning for us. Like we said, Savannah left early. He wasn’t feeling great, so he took a COVID test, [and] it came back positive,” revealed Jones.
He noted that Guthrie “rushed home to rest,” before adding, “So, Savannah, we love you. Get well soon.”
This is Guthrie’s third battle with COVID-19 after being infected in January 2022 and May 2022.
Her return to the morning show is TBD.
Fans Express Concern Over Hoda Kotb’s Well-Being
As we reported, fans of Kotb, “Today” and “Today with Hoda & Jenna” have expressed sincere concerns about the co-counselor.
“Hello, friends Everyone is wondering where @hodakotb He has been out for a week. The best thing to do at this time is to keep him in your prayers. HE WILL BE BACK! I’m sure,” one person tweeted.
One concerned viewer wrote, “When are you coming back??”
“We miss you… everything seems so secretive, hope all is well,” wrote another.
“Where is Hoda Kotb why is she out for almost 2 weeks? Please someone let us know if everything is ok? Or is he on vacation?” asked this audience.

The last time she appeared on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” was on President’s Day, February 20; however, it was a pre-recorded episode due to the holidays.
So technically, the last time Hoda was physically on the show was February 17th.
Hoda posted on Instagram on Monday, February 27. She shared a photo that read, “Choose Hope.”
He has a daughter named Hope. Hoda simply captioned the post with a red heart emoji.
Once again, his fans and followers voiced their concerns in the comments section.
Many say the “Today” show isn’t the same without her, and it’s hard to watch the AM news program without Hoda.
Willie Geist and Sheinelle Jones have courted Hoda on her fourth hour show with Jenna.
Hoda’s “Today” channel podcast “Making Space” usually releases a new episode every Monday at 4 AM ET, but it hasn’t dropped a new episode since February 20.
