Todd Chrisley’s potential prison transfer has raised concerns among Pensacola Federal Prison Camp (FPC) inmates.
Despite expressing displeasure with his current living conditions in prison, the reality star’s concerns extend beyond potential reprisals to the transfer’s effect on his family, particularly his daughter Savannah, who visits him regularly.
Todd Chrisley’s Possible Jail Placement Has Him Worried About Retaliation From Guards & Officers
As speculation about a potential transfer grows, Todd’s attorney, Jay Surgent, has expressed concern about the possible backlash his client may face, especially given his vocal criticism of conditions at FPC Pensacola.
The “Chrisley Knows Best” star’s complaints focused on issues such as food quality, possible mold and plumbing problems at the prison.
Although Todd’s attorney has not received any official notice of the move, he speculated that if his client leaves Florida, he is expected to remain in the federal system instead of being transferred to a state prison, contrary to suggestions made by Savannah. .
Todd is interested in staying in Pensacola, considering his family dynamic — Savannah’s frequent visits to him and his mother, Julie, who is incarcerated in Kentucky. Todd is also concerned that moving too far could hinder Savannah’s ability to visit him.

According to Jay, Todd has taken on a mentoring role for other inmates in Pensacola, which aligns with Todd’s belief, shared a few months ago, that he was sent to prison by God to help fellow inmates.
While spokespeople for the Federal Bureau of Prisons did not comment on individual transfers, they clarified TMZ that reassignment may occur for reasons such as medical necessity or security concerns.
Regarding his claims, The Blast reported last December that Todd claimed there were mice/squirrels in the prison’s food storage area and described an incident where a dead cat fell from the ceiling onto their food. He pointed out that the food contained black mold and was more than a year past its expiry date.
With the alleged rat infestation, he described the food as horrible, unpalatable and unhealthy. The allegations did not go unnoticed by FBOP, who immediately responded by insisting their facilities maintain safe and humane conditions.
They emphasize strict rules in their kitchen to meet the nutritional needs of all inmates by offering “healthy, nutritious and appetizing food.” Prison representatives also dismissed allegations of black mold and expired food, stressing that food past its expiration date is immediately thrown away.
Accredited by the American Association of Corrections, FBOP institutions — including Pensacola’s FPC — adhere to a wide-ranging set of rules, but the Chrisley family has constantly criticized them for allegedly falling short of standards.
Although the prison expressed support for inmates voicing grievances, they insisted on following official procedures, not approving Todd’s public statements and instead using the established Administrative Remedies Program.
Savannah Stands Strong Behind Her Father Amid His Claims About Prison Officer’s Plot

Supporting her father, Savannah took a stand against prison officials, claiming her father faced repercussions for exposing what she considered “inhumane prison conditions.”
The television personality gained attention by criticizing prison wardens in an Instagram post, claiming that Todd’s possible transfer to another facility for interviews was prompted by accusations that he was “inciting a riot” and a threat to “institutional security.”
During an interview, Savannah confirmed how dire her father’s condition was at the Pensacola Federal Prison Camp, stating:
“The revenge is real. It’s heartbreaking for me to see as her daughter, but they’ve gone so far as to say they’re going to try to send her to a state facility because our federal institutions can’t guarantee her safety.”
The 26-year-old later explained that individuals in prison gave him information about his father’s condition and the FBOP. Stating that this revelation “should scare the warden and the BOP,” he explained his concern about the situation his father was facing.
“The BOP has called me a liar many times, but I have all the information to back it up. And these letters, I mean, I even have recordings of them talking about my dad’s delivery,” Savannah said.
According to the source, prison chiefs cannot send his father to another facility unless they find him “violating” their rules. However, they are accused of planning an evil scheme to get Todd thrown out in order to achieve their goals. Savannah said:
“So I’ve heard they’re going to plant cell phones, drugs, through his locker so they can send him to a facility and actually in prison.”
