Prison continues to test Todd and Julie Chrisley’s love as the incarcerated couple are not only separated, but also forbidden from communicating with each other.
Valentine’s Day is a day for lovers to express their love with passionate words, gifts and romantic events. However, clan leader Chrisley will not be participating in this year’s festivities due to the no-cross/contact policy — which is “disappointing,” according to the couple’s attorney.
Todd And Julie Chrisley Remain Unwavering In Their Love For Each Other
Todd and Julie’s attorney, Jay Surgent, recently opened up about the couple’s inability to communicate on Valentine’s Day. This restriction is because inmates in different federal prisons are not allowed to keep in touch.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a no-cross/contact policy, which Surgent found unnecessary. He believes communication between inmates in different prisons poses zero security problems or causes concern.

Fans may recall that Todd was sentenced to 12 years at FPC Pensacola on charges of fraud and tax evasion. At the same time, Julie was incarcerated at FMC Lexington in Kentucky for seven years for the same offense. Not only are the pair in different federal prisons, but they are also in separate states.
However, Surgent remained adamant about the unnecessary restrictions and claimed its customers not being able to communicate during V-Day would be frustrating. He states their love for each other is undivided and only grows in the distance between them.
About the well-being of the couple, the legal representative told TMZ that he talked to Todd last week. The patriarch of the Chrisley family allegedly wants to continue the investigation into the FPC Pensacola prison administration for many wrongdoings.
The 54-year-old accused officials of stealing letters and general corruption, among other things. He also claimed he did not receive the mail he expected, marking another serious allegation since his prison term begins in 2023.
The former reality TV star has been vocal about her allegedly inhumane prison conditions, from bad food to mold and bad plumbing. It remains to be seen whether he will fight the prison system for stopping his Valentine’s Day celebration with Julie.
Todd & Julie Chrisley Were Awarded Reduced Sentences
Five months before Todd and Julie realized they couldn’t communicate on Valentine’s Day, the couple won a significant victory in their case. The pair had their respective prison terms reduced for each piece of information on the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ online inmate search system.
Details indicate that Todd is scheduled to be released from the Federal Prison Camp [FPC] Pensacola, Florida, on January 22, 2033, nearly two years earlier than the end date of his original 12-year sentence.

Meanwhile, Julie’s sentence has been reduced by 14 months, and she is expected to be released from Lexington Federal Medical Center on October 19, 2028. The good news comes after their son Chase’s call for an investigation.
The couple’s oldest ward wrote a heated letter to Pensacola’s FPC, asking for an investigation into the prison’s unacceptable conduct. The 27-year-old, who previously served time in federal prison after being convicted of one count of fraud in December 2022, described his incarceration experience, writing:
“The abuse of me was so brutal that this same Case Manager colluded with the CMC and Executive Staff, via email, to make it a point not to turn me in, however, while making it a point to racially disparage me.”
“As if that wasn’t bad enough, stealing and confiscating my mail, without a warrant or reason for a warrant, all because I chose to exercise my right to initiate an Administrative remedy and notify the authorities of the unlawful conduct,” Chase continued. .
According to the 27-year-old, the constant dereliction of duty at FPC Pensacola has become so rampant that it has become the prison’s standard operating procedure. He is earnestly appealing to Congress and the Department of Justice to conduct an independent investigation into FPC Pensacola and save others from an allegedly illegal prison system.
The media personality concluded his letter, “For today, this injustice has befallen myself, Todd and Julie Chrisley, Senator Wayne James, and many others without any kind of name ID but are also complicit in the acts of injustice perpetrated against them by the BOP. When tomorrow comes, what if it’s you?”
