Tom Holland has revealed he is ready to take a break from the silver screen. The actor has been in the spotlight in recent years, starring in several films in the Marvel franchise and the action thriller, “Uncharted.”
Now, the movie star wants to take a year off from acting as her latest role in the new AppleTV miniseries “break her.” Dubbed “The Crowded Room,” the dark psychological thriller will be released on the streaming service later this week.

Talk with ExtraTVHolland, who is in a relationship with “Euphoria” star Zendaya, shared that he hasn’t acted in a year.
He revealed he made the decision after facing a “difficult time” filming the psychological thriller “The Crowded Room.”
Looking back on her time on set, the actress also admitted that the show “broke” her, suggesting that she had to explore “certain emotions that I’ve never experienced before.”
Besides the emotional impact, as a “producer, dealing with the day-to-day problems that come with any film set, adds an extra level of stress” for the actor.
Despite all that, Holland said he’s “excited to see what happens” and feels all the “hard work wasn’t wasted.”
He added, per Daily Mail, “I really enjoyed it. I love the learning curve of being a producer. I am no stranger to hard work, I have always lived by this idea that hard work is good work. And I really enjoyed it.”
‘Crowded Room’

In “The Crowded Room,” Holland plays Danny Sullivan, a young man suspected of a terrifying crime. As the story unfolds, he gradually reveals secrets about his vulnerable psyche during a conversation with a female investigator (Amanda Seyfried).
The series has reportedly been in development since 2021, under the helm of director Akiva Goldsman, known for his work on “Batman Forever” and its sequel “Batman & Robin;” “I’m a Robot;” and “I’m a Legend.”
It was inspired by Daniel Keyes’ 1981 non-fiction book The mind of Billy Milliganwhich focuses on the same individuals that Holland plays in the series.
The book’s narrative details how Milligan eventually gained his release by pleading insanity after being arrested for various crimes. Throughout the court proceedings, he insisted his alternate personality was responsible for the crime, insisting that he remained unaware of his own criminal actions.

In a separate interview, Holland stated that starring in the show was very informative for “her own life.”
“Learning about his mental health and his strengths, and talking to psychiatrists about Danny (his character) and Billy’s struggles, has been very informative to my own life,” she said. Entertainment Weeklyper Daily Mail.
Doubling down on his statement, Holland shared that the show will also impact viewers in the same way.
She added, “I hope people will feel educated about the power of mental health, the struggle, [and] our extraordinary ability to survive.”
Just like in his interview with Extra TVHolland stated that the film took an emotional toll on him.,
“I’m no stranger to the physical aspect of the job doing the whole action movie,” he said. “But the mental aspect, it really beat me, and it took me a long time to recover after that, to come back to reality.”

Both stars were dressed casually for the holiday. Holland wore a blue denim jacket, black jeans and brown boots, while Zendaya wore a black tweed jacket, matching trousers and heeled boots.
The romantic relationship between the couple first came to light when they starred together in the Marvel/Sony film, “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” Since going public with their relationship, Zendaya and Holland have continued to flaunt their love and are sometimes seen on the red carpet together.
