In an interview with People’s Magazine, Tom Pelphrey opens up about his new experience as a father. The “Love & Death” actor recently welcomed a baby girl, Matilda, with “The Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco on March 30.
During the conversation, he said, “I am the king of bandages. Because if you’re going to do something, do it well.” Pelphrey explained that she honed her swaddling skills by observing nurses while she and Cuoco were still in the hospital.
He added, “I will video them doing the swaddle because everyone has a slightly different technique. And I choose what’s best for me, and I feel perfect about my swaddling abilities.”

Pelphrey notes that being a parent is amazing and like “heaven” but also “challenging at times.” He added that the experience was “the most beautiful thing ever.” The actress also said she was grateful to “have a partner” like Cuoco, with whom she was happy to go through the experience.
Pelphrey later shared that he thought about “parents raising their own children” and couldn’t understand “how they do it.” She said, “My respect for single parents has gone through the roof.” As for the future of his little family of three, Pelphrey says he can’t wait to go on walks with Matilda.
He also said, “I’m excited for all the holidays, finally going to the East Coast and he gets to meet all my family and my friends there. And it makes everything magical again.”

Cuoco recently spoke with Many people at the Rock4EB event in California, organized to help find a cure for epidermolysis bullosa, a rare skin condition. When asked what was the biggest surprise about Pelphrey as a father, Cuoco said she couldn’t “believe how natural it is, how much he loves it.”
The “Meet Cute” star also said, “I mean, when we were in the hospital, he did everything — every diaper, he was the swaddle king. All the nurses said, ‘Oh my God, you’re the best man we’ve ever seen.'”
Cuoco later recounted how Pelphrey “just loves” Matilda. He also said that their daughter looks “exactly like” her father. The actor added, “And he has a different voice, so when he talks to her, he’s 360. His head turns, and he’s like, ‘I know that voice.’ It’s beautiful.”

Since the birth of Matilda in April, Cuoco and Pelphrey had their first night alone. The couple attended the premiere of her HBO Max series, “Love & Death,” and shared some cute photos of themselves with Matilda before they left. Pelphrey captioned the post, “Mom and Dad [sic] first night out.”
At the series premiere, Cuoco and Pelphey smiled happily and held hands on the red carpet. The “Ozark” cast also spoke to him Entertainment Tonight about Cuoco and their baby girl. He said, “Yes, it’s our first date night since Matilda was born. It’s great. I mean, Kaley looks so beautiful. It’s a lot of fun. Took a few pictures with Matilda before we left the house.”
