Bodybuilder Tom Prince has died at the age of 52. Tom’s exact cause of death is still unknown but he was dealing with a number of health issues. The Sun reports that he is battling cancer. He died on February 5, 2022 with his wife by his side.
After the 1997 NPC National Championships, Tom received his pro card and made his debut for the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness Promotions in 1999. At the 2001 Night of Champions, he won a bronze medal. However, due to kidney problems caused by a congenital blood disorder, the star had to retire in 2002.
This health problem is one of the reasons why Tom quit bodybuilding. 2002 was the last time he performed on stage due to problems with his kidneys caused by a genetic blood condition. In his quest to create the ultimate mass monster, Tom pushed his body too far, until his kidneys gave out. He needed a kidney transplant and thus his entire bodybuilding journey came to an abrupt halt.
