Tom Sizemore Was Rushed To Hospital After Suffering From A Brain Aneurysm

Tom Sizemore, star of Saving Private Ryan, was recently hospitalized after suffering a brain aneurysm. His representative acknowledged this and said that he needed to be admitted to the intensive care unit. Tom’s manager, Charles Lago, stated in a statement to Fox News,

“He has been hospitalized. His family is aware of the situation and wishes him well. It is too early to speculate [a] recovery scenario as he is in critical condition and is being monitored.”

According to Charles, an unknown stranger noticed Tom Sizemore, 61, unconscious in his residence and immediately informed the police.

Although Tom Sizemore remains in critical care, the cause, prevention, and symptoms of a brain aneurysm are being investigated.

A person has a brain aneurysm if they have severe headaches or other symptoms that may be related to a ruptured aneurysm. Some tests may detect bleeding in the gap between the brain and surrounding tissue, while other tests can determine whether there are symptoms of an unruptured brain aneurysm. Several methods can be used to deal with the issue. The first is surgical clipping, in which the neurosurgeon removes part of the skull to access the aneurysm and find the blood supply that feeds the aneurysm. To stop the blood flow, a small metal clip will be placed around the neck of the aneurysm.

Endovascular therapy involves inserting a catheter into an artery and connecting it throughout the body to the aneurysm. To destroy the aneurysm from within the blood artery, devices such as flow diverters, intraluminal flow disruptors, stents, coils or a combination of multiple devices are used. Pain relievers, calcium channel blockers, interventions to prevent stroke from insufficient blood supply, anti-seizure drugs, ventricular or lumbar drainage catheters, shunt surgery and rehabilitation therapy are among the more therapies for ruptured brain aneurysms.
