MrBeast’s revelations come days after OceanGate confirmed the death of a Titan cruise passenger. The company shared in a sad statement, “We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his sons Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly passed away.”

OceanGate added a tribute to the five explorers that praised their brave spirit and adventure. “These men are true explorers who share a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans. Our hearts are with these five souls and each of their families at this tragic time.”

The statement continued, “We mourn the loss of life and the joy they brought to everyone they knew.” This followed news from the US Coast Guard, which hinted at the explorer’s death. The Coast Guard shared that they recovered a body from the tragic explosion.

In a short clip, YouTuber Jake Koehler also revealed he would be a victim of the tragic adventure. The footage shows some of the events leading up to the trip. However, Koehler, also known as Dallmyd, canceled the tour “just a few days before the tragedy.”

At the start of the clip, Koehler shares, “With the whole world watching the rescue efforts of the missing submarines around the Titanic, I thought I’d share my Mission III experience just a few weeks ago.”

He also stated that he “could have” drowned if he hadn’t changed his mind. Although he is grateful for life, he wants to “go back in time” to warn the passengers not to continue the journey, seeing how tragically it ended.

Other passengers who may be on the trip include Las Vegas financier Jay Bloom and his 20-year-old son, Sean, who want to tick it off their “bucket list.” Sean remembers being upset when his dad told him about it. He then convinced him not to continue the journey, as he did not believe the submarine could “survive in such a deep ocean.”

Speaking his mind, Sean said to People magazine, “It was a small submarine, with five people crammed inside. It just feels very insecure. Something tells me this is not the move.” However, he was saddened to hear the news that the submarine had exploded.

In a tribute, Jay told Many people how much he enjoyed talking with OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, who died on the trip. He revealed that Rush is a “good guy” and a great conversationalist. “He doesn’t want to hear anything that contradicts his worldview, and he’ll just reject it.”

He added that he felt the CEO thought it was safe for them to make the trip. “He is so passionate about this project, and he is a believer. He drank his own Kool-Aid, and nobody talked about it,” Jay explained. “I don’t think Stockton understands the risk itself, or doesn’t want to understand the risk.”
