In 2009, Candy revealed during an interview with 94.7 Kellogg WMAS-FM Crew that Tori “one day decided that she wasn’t talking to my husband, myself and my son, and that’s how it’s been for the last four or five years, oh my gosh.”

She mentioned that this situation was very sad for her and attributed it to her husband’s declining health, adding, “He just didn’t want to live after that.”

The following month, Dean McDermott made a since-deleted announcement on his social media that he and Tori were separating after 18 years of marriage. In response, Tori’s mother, Candy, expressed her support for her daughter.

Candy told TMZ that he will provide financial assistance if needed. He insisted, “I will always be there for him. I love my daughter, and I support her in whatever she does.”
