There has been a lot of speculation about the status of Tori and Dean’s marriage lately. It all started in March 2021 when Tori mentioned she and her husband slept in different bedrooms.
He told Many people that he was grateful for the partnership between himself and Dean.

Tori Talks Co-Parenting Amid Shattered Marriage Rumors

“Co-parenting, Dean and I definitely have different parenting strategies,” Tori admits. “I’m kind of like a mother and he’s more procedural. He is really great with timing and planning. I’m not good at that.”
Tori insists their Yin and Yang are what keep their family going.
“You need both to make it work. You really need it to be a complete human being. You need both worlds,” he said.
Tori and Dean share Liam (15), Stella (14), Hattie & Finn (10) and Beau (5).

As you can imagine, “Back to School” season has been very busy in the Spelling-McDermott household.
Tori explained how she raised her children differently than the way she was raised.
“Growing up. I didn’t know how to express my feelings. I wasn’t good at it,” Tori admitted to the outlet. “I’m a Taurus. I never talk about me. I feel like I keep it all inside and that takes a toll on you, the stress and anxiety of keeping things inside. It manifests not only mentally and emotionally, but eventually becomes a physical illness.”

Communication Is Key To The Spelling-McDermott Household
She stated that her children might drag her down for asking them to open up too much about their emotions.
“My kids, they’ll probably say, ‘Oh, mom asks too much about how we feel.’ It’s okay,” he shared. “I always check in and say, ‘Okay, what’s up? What are your concerns? Let’s talk about it.'”

Tori and her kids scan their day after school.
“‘I can’t predict the unknown, but let’s talk about what scenarios could happen and talk about it.’ And when they come home from school, we scan again,” he explained.
Tori keeps her kids close by doing the things they love together as a group.
Baking and cooking were family favorites in the past.
“We love baking and cooking in our family and DIY. That’s our happy place. I’ve always said that I’m a DIYer at heart and my kids came out of the DIY womb,” the “Messyness” co-host joked. “And while we’re doing that and making family dinner, I’m working slowly, ‘Hey, how’s this? How’s this?’ And you get more answers when they don’t feel like you’re sitting down and asking them directly.”

Tori’s interview comes days after she and Dean were spotted out together for the first time in a year.
Her mother, Candy Spelling, also posed with them.
They are enjoying Labor Day at the beach.
