Lanez, known for his chart-topping hits, flamboyant lifestyle and charismatic persona, had to adapt to the structured and confined prison environment.
His daily routine now revolved around a very different rhythm. Instead of recording studios and lavish parties, Lanez is locked in a cell, spending most of his days under strict rules as he only gets a few hours outside, each TMZ.
According to law enforcement sources, the “Mereka Tidak Tahu” singer is being held in what is known as an administrative segregation unit, pending his transfer to prison, where he will serve a 10-year sentence.
The ASU is said to be for inmates who cannot be safely locked up with other inmates behind bars. However, the singer was allowed to get groceries and toiletries from the commissary.
Lanez is also only allowed outside his jail cell for two hours a day, where he has to be alone. He was also allowed to breathe fresh air during recreation, but that was only 3 hours a week.

Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involvement in the shooting that injured Meg Thee Stallion, per Explosion.
The ruling, handed down by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Herriford, marked the end of a high-profile legal case that has been closely followed by the public since Stallion accused him of shooting her.
In December, the rapper was found guilty of all three charges brought against him; reckless discharge of a firearm, assault with a semi-automatic firearm, and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm.
He will remain in the LA County jail, pending when he is transferred to an intake center where his jail house will be revealed. He is expected to move next month.
He Requests Leniency To ‘Prove’ Himself

Before the judge sentenced him, Lanez asked for leniency when he spoke in court, asking for a sentence that would allow him to “prove” himself.
“I stand before you as the father of a six-year-old child who needs me every step of the way,” Lanez told Judge David Herriford. “There’s this misconception about me being this monster, no regrets, that’s not true.”
He continued, “That night, everyone was drunk, I said things I shouldn’t have said. The victim is my friend; I still care about him. We both lost mothers; we would sit there and drink until we felt numb. I am responsible for all the mistakes I made that night.”
Lanez’s lawyer, Jose Baez, has rejected the 10-year sentence, calling it “extremely harsh” and “extreme” and claiming that his client is being punished because of his celebrity status. He revealed that Lanez’s defense team plans to appeal the sentence.

Lanez again maintained his innocence, stating that he would not apologize for the incident. In a lengthy Instagram post, the “Driver” singer insisted that she was not responsible for the shooting and expressed frustration at being portrayed as the villain in the narrative.
“I never let hard times scare me. I will never let no jail time wipe me out. No matter how they try to twist my words, I have always maintained my innocence, and I always will,” Lanez wrote. “This week in court, I am responsible for all verbal and intimate moments that I share with the parties involved… that’s it.”

“I do not apologize at all for the charges that I was wrongly convicted of. I stand by my stance of refusing to apologize for things I didn’t do,” he added.
Lanez went on to say he’s always “faced adversity [his] for life” and that this conviction “was nothing more than a moment where my back was against the wall, and I refused to stop fighting until I won.”
“Hard times don’t last, tough people survive,” he added, thanking his family and friends for their “constant support”.
