During his two-day stop in Austin, Texas, as part of his ongoing Utopia Tour, Scott was seen enjoying a now-viral moment with a contestant. In the viral clip, the “SICKO MODE” artist was in the middle of performing when a fan ran up on stage from behind to appear in front of him.

Fans kept matching Scott’s beat and jumping to his beat, but when he approached the 10-time Grammy-nominated rapper, things got a little scary. Scott grabbed his shirt aggressively as if trying to threaten or stop him.

However, when security came on stage to remove the troublemakers, the Texas native pushed them back and ordered them off the stage. As the security team dispersed, Scott and the fans continued to go “on a rampage”, jumping with explosives as the show continued smoothly.

At one point, fans took off his shirt while the “goosebumps” rapper sang. As expected, the interaction made waves on social media, inciting various responses from fans.

A netizen who attended the concert wrote, “Things went wild at Travis Scott’s show in Austin tonight when fans couldn’t help but rush the stage! The energy is on another level ?.”

Another fan shared the same sentiment: “Sometimes the excitement we have when we see a big star on stage will make us feel like we can pass the bouncer and even make us go on stage.”

Others were full of praise for the father-of-two, with one fan commenting, “Awwww, This is so beautiful that the fans accidentally pushed you off the stage.” Another said, “It’s not nice to do it, but she’s lucky enough to have Travis in her mood ??. That’s why Travis is the GOAT.”

A similar comment read, “And that’s good for him for not letting the bouncers take him by force.” However, some fans focused on why Scott was holding a fan around his neck. “Why is he holding the boy like that?” asked one fan while another wrote, “I thought she was going to throw him off the stage.”

The viral moment comes days after Scott spoke widely about the Astroworld 2021 Concert tragedy that left 10 concertgoers dead and many more injured.

During an interview with GQ, Scott expressed his regret over the sad incident, calling the incident “devastating.” The ex-boyfriend of socialite Kylie Jenner revealed that thinking about losing her life at the concert was sometimes “rough.”

“I always think about it. The fans are like my family. You know, I love my fans so much. I’m too disappointed,” he told the outlet. He continued, “It has moments where it gets rough. You just feel for those people. And their families.”

Remember that Scott is primarily to blame for the incident. However, he did not face any criminal charges in connection with the tragic event after a Texas grand jury issued six no-bills in the case.

After the verdict, an attorney for the rapper, Kent Schaffer, shared that the verdict “confirms what we’ve known all along—that Travis Scott is not responsible for the Astroworld tragedy.” Schaffer added, “Now that this chapter is closed, we hope that government efforts will focus on what matters most—stopping future heartbreaking tragedies like AstroWorld from happening again.”

Despite being cleared of criminal charges, Scott was not spared numerous lawsuits from victims and their families. His collaborator Drake, who performed at the concert, was sued, as well as Live Nation, Epic Records, and the Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation.

Earlier this month, The Blast reported that a company called Ceremony of Roses sued the rapper after losing a large investment in the festival. They accuse Scott and Live Nation of “negligence and willful misconduct in connection with the Festival,” which caused them “substantial financial harm.”

Although the exact amount of compensation that could be received for damages was not mentioned, court documents revealed that the CoR had invested at least $700,000 in expenses to be paid to set up and operate the entertainment at the Festival.
