Former President Donald Trump blamed President Biden’s “weakness and capitulation” for the drone strike that killed three US soldiers — bluntly warning that his successor is bringing us “to the brink of World War III.”
“Our country cannot survive with Joe Biden as Commander-in-Chief,” the GOP presidential front-runner said on Truth Social late Sunday after a deadly drone strike on a US base near Jordan’s border with Syria, which Biden blamed on “radical militants backed by Iran.” group.”
“This brazen attack on the United States of America is yet another horrific and tragic consequence of Joe Biden’s weakness and capitulation,” Trump wrote, after expressing his condolences to the victims’ families.
Trump, 77, argued that the deadly attack would “NEVER happen if I were President, even if there was a chance.
“Just as the Iran-backed Hamas attack on Israel would never have happened, the War in Ukraine would never have happened, and now we will have Peace around the World. Instead, we are on the brink of World War 3.”

Yesterday’s drone strike killed three US service members and wounded 34 others, marking the first time an American soldier has been killed in the Middle East since Israel’s war with Hamas broke out in October.
Biden, 81, said in a statement that the attack on the base was carried out by militants operating in Syria and Iraq with support from Iran – a claim Tehran vehemently denied as “baseless.”
Trump asserted that Biden’s cajoling of Iran made the attack possible.
“Three years ago, Iran was weak, broken, and completely under control,” he wrote. “Thanks to my Maximum Pressure policy, the Iranian Regime can barely raise two dollars to fund their terrorist proxies.”
Trump took to Social Truth to warn that Biden has brought the world to “the brink of World War III.”
“Then Joe Biden came along and gave Iran billions of dollars, which the Regime has used to spread bloodshed and genocide throughout the Middle East,” he added.
The former one-term president, who ran to unseat Biden in November, concluded by telling his followers: “Our country cannot survive with Joe Biden as Commander-in-Chief.”
Biden vowed to hold accountable those responsible for the deaths and injuries of Americans “to account at a time and in a manner of our choosing.”
“We will respond,” he said while speaking in South Carolina Sunday.
Iran was quick to distance itself from the attack, with a foreign ministry spokesman claiming that “regional resistance” groups had not received orders from Tehran.
