Trump blasts Jim Jordan as ‘loser’ in SNL skit mocking House havoc, Lauren Boebert’s groping scandal

“Saturday Night Live” caused chaos in the House, mocking the failed GOP speaker candidate, Rep. Jim Jordan, his fringe ally Rep. George Santos and Lauren Boebert and the de facto leaders of former president Donald Trump’s party as a cold open show mocking lawmakers’ inability to choose a new House speaker.

Mikey Day portrayed Jordan, who on Friday lost a secret ballot to remain the GOP nominee for speaker after failing on the third ballot.

Speaking in his office, Day, playing Ohio conservative said, “No, I didn’t win, honey. No, not this time either. it’s fine. I feel good.” After completing the call he then broke the receiver in half.

“Some of us are here to really serve the American people,” Day said. “All I want to do is bring Congress back so I can shut it down again.”

An assistant, portrayed by Heidi Gardner, steps into his office to bring him a new phone and introduces Santos, played by Bowen Yang, who arrives with a baby to offer her support.

“George Santos? Why do you have children?” Day asked

“Nobody seems to know,” Yang replied before handing the baby to Gardner, telling him to “Just put him in an Uber.”

Who later offered his condolences to Day, telling her: “I want you to know I voted for you, and got this, and so did Shoshanna Loggins.” Which day answered, “Who is that?”

“Me too,” Day’s alleged identity fraud lying MP quipped.

Day then asked if he should try to run for speaker next time. “Well, look, I’d be lying if I said yes,” Yang said. “So, yeah,” He then received a call that was said to be from Tupac, responding, “Girl, I know. Jada is crazy.”

Boebert, played by Chloe Fineman, then calls Jordan’s office to talk about his failed bid while being groped in the theater.

“Are you out somewhere?” Day asked, and he replied, “Yes. I have to go. I’m at the theater watching ‘Aladdin.'”

Finally, Day is visited by former President Donald Trump, portrayed by James Austin Johnson, who enters exclaiming, “Yoo-hoo, is this the office of a loser?”

“You support me and then you just disappear,” Day replied.

“Yeah, well, that’s because I prefer Jordan to win, Okay?” Johnson said. “Like the great Michael Jordan or the even greater Jordin Sparks. ‘No Air,’ remember that? Now that’s a song. Tell me how I’m supposed to breathe without air. You can’t. You can’t do that.”

Johnson then boasted that people said he would be a great speaker, as he referred to Trump’s 91 criminal charges/

“Unfortunately, I’ll be too busy campaigning, traveling from town to town, visiting their beautiful courtrooms,” he said. “But I did great things for the court. Great thing for the court.”

Day began to let loose, telling Johnson, “I did what you’re going to do. threaten. threaten. Why didn’t it work?”

Johnson simply replied, “Well, because, frankly, you’re not me, OK? You’re not funny, I’m funny.”

The second SNL episode of the season was hosted by rapper and singer Bad Bunny, who was the musical guest.
