The Trump family has begun testifying in their defense in the $250 million fraud trial brought by the NY attorney general against former president Donald Trump’s son Don Jr. and Eric and the Trump Organization.
Don Jr. took the stand Wednesday afternoon, Eric is on the witness list for Thursday. Trump himself and daughter Ivanka are set to take the stand the week of November 6. (He was not named as a defendant.)
The three Trump men and the Trump Organization are all accused in the decades-long scheme, in which Attorney General Letitia James claims the former president of the United States “grossly” exaggerated his net worth by $3.6 billion a year.
Trump has been warned twice and fined $5,000 for making public attacks on a clerk who works for Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron, who is presiding over the civil case and will decide the outcome of the non-jury trial.
