Trump gripes about ‘violent’ Fulton County jail: ‘7 inmates have died’

Former president Donald Trump complained about the “brutal” Fulton County jail after he was briefly booked at the facility on Thursday.

“It’s violent. The building collapsed. Inmates dug their fingers into the crumbling walls and ripped off chunks to form over 1,000 rods,” Trump said in a fundraising email to supporters on Friday. “It’s worse than you can imagine. This year alone, 7 prisoners have died in the prison.

“Seeing the third world conditions of those prisons made me even more determined to run for President and save our country from eternal decline,” added Trump.

The Fulton County Jail is one of the most notorious local lockups in the United States.

“It’s disgusting. It’s dirty. It’s dangerous,” former Georgia prosecutor Chris Timmons told ABC News Thursday.

Trump’s email quickly shifted into money mode — urging followers to dig deeper to support his campaign.

“If you’re in bad shape because of these very bad people who are letting America burn, then please don’t donate,” Trump warned. “But if you can, please donate to SAVE AMERICA.”

The Fulton County reservation is Trump’s fourth in 2023 even though he remains the Republican front-runner for president.
