Former President Donald Trump is far ahead of his Republican rivals in the 2024 Iowa caucuses — but has seen a small drop in support since last month as challenger Nikki Haley edged up slightly ahead of Monday’s vote.
A Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa poll showed that 48% of Republican caucus members are likely to pick Trump as their first choice for president — down from 51% who said the same in December.
Former South Carolina Governor Haley came in second with 20% support, ahead of Florida Governor Ron Desantis, who got 16 percent.
