Controversy
Driving License Suspension For 10 years
On 17 September 2023, TTF Vasan met with an accident while trying to ride a wheelie on the Chennai-Vellore highway service road in the Thamal area near Kanchipuram. A wheelie is a stunt in which the front wheel of a two-wheeler is raised off the road for a short period of time. He was thrown from his bike and suffered minor injuries. The Baluchetty Chatram police have booked Vasan under sections 279 (rash driving or riding on public roads) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering the life or safety of another person) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). On September 19, the police arrested him and informed the Regional Transport Office (RTO) about his outstanding traffic violations. In October 2023, Vasan’s driver’s license was suspended for the next ten years, until October 5, 2033, for his reckless motorcycle riding. Following this incident, the YouTuber was imprisoned in Puzhal Prison.

- On October 8, 2022, TTF Vasan, along with S. Ganesh Babu, set a new world record by riding non-stop from Tamil Naidu to Kashmir for a distance of 3500 Km in 1 and a half days (39 hours). The feat is recorded in the Kalams World Record.

- Vasan was riding a motorcycle worth around Rs 20 lakh and wearing a suit worth Rs 2 lakh when he performed the stunt on September 17. Although Vasan applied for bail, his plea was rejected by the Madras High Court. Judge CV Karthikeyan decided not to grant bail to the motorcyclist based on the Additional Public Prosecutor’s argument that the motorcyclist has 4.5 million young followers who look up to him and ask their parents to buy expensive motorcycles costing thousands of rupees. Some of them also use these motorcycles for crimes like chain-grazing and driving them recklessly on public roads, putting other drivers and pedestrians in danger.
