Two Hamas honchos killed in Gaza airstrikes, Israeli military says

Two Hamas leaders who masterminded last week’s terror attacks on Israel – including the commander of a killer paraglider who killed civilians from the air – have been killed in an overnight airstrike, according to the Israeli Air Force.

Murad Abu Murad, the head of the Hamas Air Force, was present when his headquarters in Gaza were destroyed by IAF fighter jets, the Israeli military reported on X in a statement on Saturday.

Murad was “largely responsible for directing the terrorists during Saturday’s massacre,” according to the release, which included video of the building’s destruction.

Hamas’s second honcho, Ali Qadi, was also killed as part of what the IAF called a “wide-scale attack across the Gaza Strip” against “dozens of Hamas terrorist targets.”

Ali was identified as the “company commander of Hamas’ ‘Nukhba’ commando force” who personally led fighters in a series of brutal ground attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border.

“Ali Qadi led the inhumane and barbaric massacre on October 7 of civilians in Israel,” the Israel Defense Forces wrote. in a post on X.

“We just got rid of it. All Hamas terrorists will face the same fate.”

Ali was one of 477 Palestinian prisoners released by Israel in 2011 in exchange for Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier who had been held by Hamas for five years.

At the time, Hamas was happy about the prisoner swap – organizing a massive rally in Gaza City where 250,000 Palestinians chanted “We want a new Gilad!” as they call for more cross-border kidnappings.

At least 150 Israeli civilians – including infants and young children – were kidnapped on October 7 and taken to Gaza as hostages.
