Tyrese Gibson Hit With More Legal Trouble After Staying at Airbnb
A woman named Tiffanique Webb has filed a lawsuit against Tyrese for “property damage” in California Superior Court.
According to the document, “Excessive alterations to the rented property” and damages that “exceed the social security deposit by the tenant to the Air BnB agent” have resulted in the owner suffering “loss of use of the property,” “property damage. ,” and “loss of capacity income.”
In the filing, she demanded that Tyrese pay at least $25,000 in damages to fix the mistakes he made while inside her rental property.
This will be the second case in the last 30 days where the “Sweet Lady” hitmaker will be tied up.
Documents previously obtained by The Blast show that filmmaker Bryan Barber has accused him of making inaccurate and defamatory statements about himself during a Sept. 7 appearance on “The Breakfast Club.”

In the document, Bryan asserts that the 52-year-old attacked his “character and reputation” during the episode by making certain statements. One such statement was, “Barber took Gibson’s [interview] recording and refusing to give it back; Gibson paid [Barber] A sum of $35,000.00 to tape the interview; and Barber also stole recordings from two other public figures – Big Boi and Dallas Austin.”
Reflecting on his involvement, the filmmaker mentioned being hired by Tyrese in 2019 to conduct and edit an interview with Charlamagne Tha God. Noticing the presence of the “Transformers” actor’s ex-wife, Samantha Lee, during filming, the “The Way You Move” music video director said he provided camera, lighting and editing services for Tyrese after the interview.
Although they initially agreed to split revenue from streaming and distribution 50/50, things changed when Tyrese requested a second day of filming on the pretext of needing “B-Roll” footage of him with his wife and newborn daughter. With that, the actors seem to deviate from their original plans.
Regarding the claim that Bryan refused to release the footage of the interview, the music video director countered that the actor’s management clearly instructed him not to release any part of the interview. This instruction aims to protect the good name of the father of the two children.
Ultimately, Bryan asked that he receive damages of not less than $10,000,000, claiming that the statement was purely defamatory and caused harm to his profession as a producer, director, editor, and his business.

When he’s not being sued, Tyrese is suing people. In August, The Blast shared that the famous singer-songwriter slammed a lawsuit against Home Depot over the February incident of alleged racial profiling. Shortly after, the retail giant hit back at his claims, pointing out that the opposite had happened.
The actor then quickly responded to the company’s rejection of its racial profiling narrative with warm words for its co-founder, Bernard “Bernie” Marcus. On Instagram, the “Four Brothers” star wrote in a long rant:
“He was one of Trump’s biggest donors, giving $7 million to his campaign. When Marcus announced in 2019 that he would financially support Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign, it sparked calls to boycott Home Depot even though Marcus is no longer with the company.”
After noting that Bernie has donated a total of $64 million to the Republican Party, Tyrese continued, “Mr. Bernie Marcus…… Knock knock…… Who’s there…. The black and brown culture you and your cashiers treat like shit….”
He later addressed the company’s allegations of surveillance footage, expressing regret for spending “tens of millions” at Home Depot, citing “clear footage of blatant racism and discrimination of your team and staff.”
Additionally, the American Music Award winner accused the multinational home improvement retail company of including “random allegations about me in court documents.”
Insisting that she is not the first to face discrimination at Home Depot, she cited stories online from other Black and Brown individuals who exposed “blatant racist practices” at the company. The singer-turned-actress ended her now-deleted rant with a nod to her co-plaintiff, writing:
“Eric Mora, Manuel Hernandez, and I are 100% committed to standing up to The Home Depot in defense of our own civil rights and the civil rights of all who have been subjected to discriminatory practices and racial profiling of consumers.”
