The former professional footballer shared that his eldest son was brought up in the United States and he no longer recognized him as a Brit. The 40-year-old told MailOnline he had a “difficult” time adjusting to Sancha’a way of life.

His mother immigrated to the US shortly after they broke up and he has lived in America for the past seven years. He has three other children with his wife of fifteen years Ellie Geneva, nine, Olivia, six, and 18-month-old Jacob.

Sancha who ended up in America because her mother’s new partner splits her time between the US and England. “It’s a tough one for me and a tough one for my daughter, but I don’t want to stop my ex from getting on with his life.”

But when Sancha starts coming to visit and asking for “popsicles” and “sodas” two things known as “ice-lolly” and “fizzy drinks”, or “minerals” to refer to the latter, then it becomes a little annoying for the TV host.

Not physically of course! “He has an American accent so I knock him every time he comes over. Worse when he was younger, he would often pop up and say ‘Daddy, can I have a popsicle?’

Jenas will ignore him until he asks the right way. “And he’ll say, ‘ice cream or popsicles’ and I’ll say ‘Okay, go get one.’ And then he would say, ‘Dad can I have a soda?’ He’s too old now for me to make the same joke now!” he confessed. At least know the limits.

However, the proud father is happy to see how great his daughter is. “He’s a very good student, he just did big track in America where he came second in the 200 meters in his State. He’s a proper athlete, gym freak, doing back flips left right and centre, he plays football, so football, American football too and he tracks,” he bragged.

It’s just the annoying accent he has every time he adjusts to the United Kingdom that Jenas hopes to get rid of sooner rather than later.

Host from The one also talked about his other children but admitted his wife had to negotiate with him for the last little one. “No more children. People always tell me you’re done when your Mistress is done. When we had Olivia we got our life back but Ellie said she really wanted to try again for a boy.”

He joked of his wife, who has been with him since 2011. “I was like ‘here we go’ but we got through it and got our little one and as soon as she arrived she said, ‘We’re not doing this again’ and I was like ‘Sound!’ We are both on the same page.”

Now that the family is complete, Jenas looks to Sancha’s quality time with her siblings to help her accent linger. Damn, they say Brits don’t like Americans, but this is next level!
