His mother’s name is Shabnam Naz. He has two siblings. His sister, Mahvish Choudhary, works in the education department. His younger brother, Asim Riaz, is a model and actor.

Earlier, he was in a relationship with Indian television actress Sonal Vengurlekar. During the interview, while talking about Umar, Sonal said,
I know Asim and Umar very closely. Actually, Umar and I used to date. I met him at a party last year around March. We were in a relationship for four to five months but soon I realized that I was only playing a catalyst for Umar’s fame and decided to break up.”

Career
After completing MBBS and MS, he started working as a clinical assistant at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, Maharashtra, in 2018. He started working as Senior Registrar (General Surgery) in 2020.
In addition to working as a surgeon, he dabbled in modeling. She has worked as a model with many ace fashion photographers. He became the center of attention after his younger brother Asim Riaz joined the TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss 13.’ Umar appeared as a guest in Bigg Boss 15 in various episodes. In 2021, she appeared in several Hindi music videos such as ‘Gunaah Karde’ by Dipesh Agarwal, ‘Sky High’ by Asim Riaz, and ‘Befikar Raho’ by Jugni In.
He was roped in for the 15th season of the TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ as one of the contestants in 2021.

In an interview, his ex-girlfriend Sonal Vengurlekar accused Umar of misusing her money. He said,
He once visited my set and didn’t have money to pay the taxi driver and I had to take money from the chest make-up and pay the driver. In fact, after we broke up, he still had access to my OTT platform subscription and Zomato and used to place online orders using my money. Finally, I had to delete my Zomato account after I was out of options. All I want to say is before you point fingers at someone make sure your image is clean enough.”
