The United Nations relief agency for refugees in the West Bank and Gaza Strip has fired several staff over their alleged participation in the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack on Israel, the agency said Friday.
“The Israeli authorities have provided UNRWA with information about the alleged involvement of several UNRWA workers in the horrific attack on Israel on October 7,” said Philippe Lazzarini, UNRWA’s Commissioner-General, in a statement.

“To protect the agency’s ability to deliver humanitarian aid, I have taken the decision to terminate the contract of this staff member immediately and launch an investigation to ascertain the truth without delay.”
