Unruly Spirit Airlines passenger is tossed from Florida-bound flight after punching cop

A Polish man is in Colombian police custody after he was filmed punching a police officer as he was removed from a Florida-bound Spirit Airlines flight on Sunday.

Inside the video is now viralthe unidentified male passenger can be seen verbally arguing with another man aboard the Spirit Airlines plane as it waits to leave the gate at the Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport in Barranquilla.

The man, who police said also had a home in the United States, was heard telling another passenger: “You wish you could be in America.”

He can later be heard shouting “F— you, bitch” at other passengers as he is escorted off the flight by a flight attendant and two police officers.

But a cop apparently put him in a choke hold, and the passenger responded by punching and grabbing the officer.

“F— you, bitch,” he said again, this time apparently directed at the police officer.

“We do not tolerate aggressive behavior of any kind, and these passengers are no longer welcome on any of our flights,” a Spirit Airlines spokesperson told the Post.

“We will provide any necessary assistance to the relevant authorities as they investigate this matter.”

Police General Jorge Urquijo claimed the unruly passenger was drunk when police arrived, and attributed his behavior to an ongoing custody battle with the mother of his son, who now lives in Colombia.

He claimed the court did not rule in favor of the passenger “and according to preliminary information, this will cause his condition to change plus the consumption of alcohol,” he told Blu Radio on Sunday.

Urquijo added that the passenger “is being charged for a crime against a public servant, and in the next few hours, he will be placed in the hands of the competent authorities,” and stated that they did not find any previous criminal record for the suspect.
