Utkarsh Sharma was born on 22 May 1994 in Mumbai, India, to director Anil Sharma. Since he is the son of a director, he has been exposed to the film industry since childhood. In fact, he worked as a child artist in the megahit film ‘Gadar – Ek Prem Katha’ in 2001. He was appreciated for his performance as Jeetey (son of Sunny Deol) in the film.
Although Utkarsh Sharma has developed a desire to become an actor, he has to complete his education first. Hence, after completing his schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai and he went abroad to pursue his studies in the field of Cinema. After completing his studies for 4 years, he is back and ready to make his debut with the film ‘Genius’ directed by his father.

Utkarsh Sharma was born in a film background and got an opportunity to work as a child artist in the blockbuster film ‘Gadar – Ek Prem Katha’ (2001), it was his father’s film. Her performance won many hearts, but she did not appear in any films after that, as her father wanted her to concentrate on her studies.
After completing his schooling, Utkarsh Sharma went to Chapman University, Orange, California, to complete his graduation in Cinema, as his only goal was to become an actor. So, after learning the skills provided Utkarsh returned to India and worked on several projects like Purpose (2015) and Still Life (2016, both as a writer).
In 2018, he is all set for the release of his debut film ‘Genius’, which will release on 24 August 2018.
