Since Valerie Bertinelli and her ex-husband Tom Vitale decided to end their marriage of ten years in 2021, she has been open about her emotional healing journey, often touching on her recovery from her troubled marriage.
Recently, the Food Network personality spoke candidly about how difficult the past year has been while also offering some inspirational words for her fans, showing that she can break through despite the odds.
Valerie Bertinelli Believes This Year Will Be Her Best
Bertinelli is back with an optimistic message, and fans are sure to be interested. He took to his Instagram Story with a long declaration about life, adding a side note for his followers to be the best this year.
The host of “Valerie’s Home Cooking” filmed herself walking in the middle of the greenery and with the bright blue sky highlighting her face. She wore a brown fur jacket over a black blouse paired with a burgundy beanie and patterned sunglasses.
Bertinelli begins the first clip, saying, “Today is so beautiful, I don’t know if you can see.” He then turned the camera to the sky, adding, “beautiful, that blue sky.” Searching for the right word to describe life, he thought of using “awesome” before inspiring the audience again.
“No matter how bad the storm is when that blue sky comes out and you break through the crap, it’s so beautiful, it’s so beautiful, and it almost makes the storm worth it.”
He continued, “Yeah, the storm was worth it. Because you learn a lot, and then you come out the other side, and you’re like, ‘Hey, I’m my knight in shining armor. I made it through.'” Ultimately, the 62-year-old provided a wise warning for the audience, saying, “You’re going to go through a hundred percent of the days that you never thought you’d go through, right, think about that.’”
He didn’t stop there but continued in a second video declaring that it was his thoughts for “a glorious and glorious day.” Bertinelli went on to state, “You know, it’s a noble life. I will take all the bad and bad years I had last year, the highest of my worst years. I’ll take it because this feels like it’s going to be my best year.”
He later added, “It feels so good. I hope you all feel it too. You went there, and you had a good year. Do you hear me? I love you.” While viewers don’t know exactly why the “One Day at a Time” actress is having a hard time in 2022, they do know how she was emotionally abused during her marriage to Vitale, which she opened up about last month.
As The Blast reported, she uploaded an Instagram reel where she talked about a “hidden little bruise” she had that was triggered at the time. Bertinelli revealed that she stopped wearing certain sets of pants because she was told and mocked many times for being “too lazy” to do anything about her chafing thighs.
Fans can hear the sound of rubbing in the clip as he is wearing the same pants. And although he left the taunt in the past, labeling it as irrelevant, he had to face the “hidden bruise” every time it was activated.
Still, the “Touched by an Angel” star is happy that her healing journey is going well and she can wear the pants despite the rubbing, which she calls “the sound of freedom.”

Bertinelli has never shied away from speaking the truth about his ex-partner, Vitale whom he described as a “narcissist.”
However, the businessman finally broke his silence on the label earlier this month in a clip where he was asked, “Now that your divorce with Valerie is over, the settlement is over. He called you a narcissist. What do you think about that?”
Vitale threw the question back at the paparazzi before laughing it off as a joke and walking away to avoid more questions.
The 59-year-old was not let off the hook so easily, so he told the reporter, “You know what I did? I work hard. I had a lot of fun,” after which he advised them to do the same.
