Valerie Bertinelli achieved all her goals in 2023! The Food Network star excitedly announced the progress she has made so far after starting the Dry January campaign.

The mother-of-one previously revealed to fans via social media her plans to take part in the campaign, which challenges people to abstain from alcohol in January.

In a recent TikTok video, she explained the transformation she experienced from participating in the assignment challenge.

Bertinelli, whose main focus in the new year is to stay happy and live life to the fullest as a single woman, recently announced to fans the effect her participation in the Dry January campaign had on her.

Taking to her TikTok page, the “Hot In Cleveland” star revealed in a short clip during a walk the striking effects she experienced after deciding to give up alcohol for an entire month!

Wearing a dark blue top paired with a silver necklace and sunglasses, she said, “So here’s a nice little side effect to Dry January. These jeans I wore were so tight a few months ago that I couldn’t button them comfortably. Now, it’s so loose, it’s time for me to go down a size.”

Overjoyed with her new reality, she happily added, “Yeah, I like the side effects.” Simply captioning the post, she wrote, “Nice side effect ??.” Happy with his post, some of his fans took to his comment section to praise the actor for his hard work, while others shared their personal experiences.

One fan wrote, “I did. Calm October AND dry January AND way less sugar. Lost very little weight. So crazy! But I feel healthier.” Impressed by fans’ revelations, Bertinelli responded by writing, “Oooh, sober October. I love it. I can do dry July too ???.”

A rather curious fan asked, asking, “Just because there’s no alcohol? Or sugar too? A battle but one we can win ☮️❤️.” Responding to curious fans, the “Sydney” actress wrote, “I cut back A LOT on sugar.”

Before successfully completing his Dry January challenge, the 62-year-old needed to be emotionally, psychologically and physically strong.

As previously discussed by The Blast, Bertinelli used his Instagram story to announce to fans his laudable success in avoiding alcohol throughout January. Sharing a video of the happy news, she said in the clip, “Day 30, I did it! I am happy because physically I feel better. I’m sleeping better.”

She went on to reveal how she deals with the various emotions that overwhelm her, she says, “Feelings are emotions, and instead of ignoring them and suppressing them, I have to think about what these feelings are telling me.” He stated that instead of using alcohol to drown them as usual, he decided to taste it.

Bertinelli revealed how he learned to forget the harsh words others had spoken to him. She said, “I’ve been yelled at so many times and told how fat and lazy I am. I realize…that’s someone just projecting onto me whatever they need to project onto me, but my part in all of that is believing it.”

Realizing that he no longer believed the negative statement, he, however, concluded that the traumatic experience had left a permanent scar in his heart.

Despite some bittersweet times that the star of “Valerie’s Home Cooking” has gone through, it seems that Bertinelli has chosen to pursue happiness and laughter.

Per The Blast, the “Apple’s Way” actor revealed to his followers through his Instagram story how he intends to continue a drama-free life in 2023. Chatting with his fans through an uploaded video, he stated that he is slowly recovering. from his trauma and “just put a better life together for himself.”

He went on to say, “I’m happier, I’m happier, the life that I already have that I’m grateful for, but the life that I can really enjoy because I finally feel like I deserve it, we all deserve a beautiful life.”
