The talented chef started the new year with a resolution to “reset” his whole body

The Food Network star shared health updates with her over a million fans on her Instagram Stories and outlined things related to the show. Bertinelli, who was sipping a cup of tea, began his message by saying that his year had been going well so far before announcing his results.

“I have decided to go to Dry January. I like it so far,” he said. The mother of one stated that she was inspired by one of her friends and later explained her reason for the decision saying, “I did it for two reasons. One, I want to try and reduce my sugar cravings. And I think alcohol makes it worse.”

She continued, “I want to calm down the cortisol in my body that has been raging for the last five, six years. I’ve been in fight, flight, freeze, fawn mode. And I want to rest and digest. I think cutting out alcohol will help me do that.

Naturally, the actress’ new year went well because at the beginning of the year, she celebrated being the happiest she’d been in six years. According to The Blast, the chef posted a video of himself smiling while enjoying the quiet lake house.

Capturing the broadcast, the Emmy Award winner expressed her joy over the year. He wrote, “This New Year’s Day will come with more happiness than last year. From a young age, New Year’s Day has been one of my favorite days, for the past 5-6 years it has been one of the saddest days.”

He however added, “No more. There is so much to look forward to now when before, it just seemed sad, scary, lonely, and endlessly stressful. I didn’t know what I was going to face, and I wasn’t worried. I am free. This new year’s day, 2023, is the first day of the rest of my life”!

As you know, the 62-year-old filed for divorce from Vitale in May 2022 after 11 years of marriage. Bertinelli cited irreconcilable differences as the cause of divorce. The divorce was finalized in November 2022, and the famous chef was asked to pay $2.2 million as a settlement to his ex-partner.

The Golden Globes recipient’s decision to reset his nervous system is completely understandable. A few weeks ago, he was scared when two suspected thieves came around his house, which was immediately reported to the police.

Also, the “Kids Baking Championship” host mentioned that another thief had come that way before, and he described the experience as “very scary.”

Not wanting to take any chances, the “Hot in Cleveland” actor alerted the police, who showed up immediately, and then he began making plans to tighten security at his home. He said, “I’m installing more motion detector lights and thinking about putting barbed wire on my front fence, and of course, my alarm is set every night.”
