Who is Valerie Loureda?

Valerie Loureda is best known for her time as an MMA fighter. However, she recently closed that chapter and opened a new one in WWE when the Miss MMA model announced earlier this year that she had signed a contract with WWE, ending her time in MMA for good.
When talking about the new chapter in her life, Loureda told reporter Ariel Helwani, “I have now become the first Cuban-American woman, and I am now a WWE superstar. I’m excited, and I’ve dedicated my whole life to martial arts, and it’s all come down to this moment. And this is my chance to showcase my culture and entertain the world.”
Loureda had to hold back tears as she got emotional talking about her time with the UFC. “I’m emotional because I’ve worked hard all my life,” he said. “I had a strict upbringing, and every day, I always believed in myself and trained hard, hoping to take the next step and just pursue the dream I had in my heart since I was a baby. .
Loureda thanked Bellator executives for believing in him after the announcement, saying, “Scott Coker and Mike Kogan, Rich Chou, they believed in me when I was 19 years old. My first professional fight was bareback at Mohegan Sun. They are opening the main card. They let me open the main card. They allowed me to brand myself, build this platform and just be me.”
He continued, “Now, I’m making this transition, and my mind has changed, but I know what I’m going to do in WWE.”
