“Vanderpump Rules” stars Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have split after four years of marriage.
Cartwright shared the news of their split on their joint podcast, telling their listeners that he wanted to be honest about the state of their relationship.

On Thursday, Cartwright broke the sad news about his breakup with Taylor on their joint podcast, “When Reality Hits.”
“A lot of you have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship,” she said. “I just think it’s important to be real and honest with you guys because our lives are definitely — we’ve shared so much of our lives with you guys. So, I feel like … I don’t want to look like I’m lying or anything like that so I feel like it’s important that I say this.”
Cartwright continued, “I know on my last podcast I referred to a lot of marriages going through tough times. Yeah, marriages in general are really tough and I had a really tough year last year. Jax and I took some time and I decided to move to another house to take up some space for my mental health.”
Taylor and Cartwright, who married in 2019, have a one-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi. The couple’s surprise split also comes amid their upcoming appearances on the “Vanderpump Rules” spinoff show, “The Valleys.”
In his breakup announcement, Cartwright pleaded with his fans to “pray” for him and Taylor, however, he emphasized that they were both “fine”.
“I’m taking it one day at a time,” he added. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now, my focus is on being the best mom I can be to Cruz, and I love you all. Pray for us and everything will be fine. We are good.”
