During the interview with today Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager’s Vanessa Hudgens, 34, opened up about her newfound confidence as she prepares to tie the knot with her 26-year-old fiance Tucker.
“It feels amazing,” the “High School Musical” star gushed People magazine. He continued, “It’s so funny, I talked about this with Cole…. People are always like, ‘Does it feel different? [Do] things feel different [getting engaged]?’”
“That’s always my question as always, but now I can be asked,” Hudgens said. “And you know what, it actually happened,” he added. “There is a sense of security. You feel very safe. It is the best thing. I love being engaged.”

On February 9, the actress took to Instagram to proudly show off her engagement ring in a post alongside her baseball player boyfriend with the caption “YES. We couldn’t be happier.”
In his interview on Today, she shared that she knew almost immediately that he was the one. Recalling the special moment, she said, “After our first weekend together, I called my sister and said, ‘I think I just found my future husband,'” noting that she was immediately drawn to “who he is.”
Hudgens also relayed her fiancé’s tweet from 2012, when she was a teenager, expressing her desire to find “a girl who can’t wait to watch High School Musical with me and scratch my back.” Acknowledging the coincidence, Hudgens chuckled, saying, “It’s funny because I play Gabriella Montez in the Disney movie series.”

After their engagement in February, two years after they started dating, Hudgens revealed Insider an interview last month that although he knew the time would come, he was very surprised how it happened.

During the conversation, she also talked about her engagement ring, saying she couldn’t stop staring at it. “It’s beautiful,” he said. “I love it. I get distracted by it all the time.”
