White just signed a two-year contract extension to continue as co-host of the ABC game show through the 2025-26 season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The new contract is for two years to co-host with the show’s new host Ryan Seacrest, who will take over from longtime host Pat Sajak in the fall of 2024.

While the specifics of the contract are still under wraps, we know White is getting paid big after he previously spoke about his salary demands. Some reports state that there is a “significant raise” in the new deal, from the $3 million a year he has earned for nearly 2 decades. Surprisingly, he did not get a raise for 18 years.

Vanna White’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, is involved in what he describes as “very difficult negotiations” with Sony. But, it pays to have the best lawyer in town.

The popular game show “Wheel of Fortune” first began airing as a daytime series on NBC, debuting in 1975.

Six years later, in 1981, “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak stepped in with Vanna White to replace former hosts Chuck Woolery and Susan Stafford. Today, the two still host the game show as it airs on ABC.

Sajek and White have hosted the show together ever since, going on 39 years now, as millions of contestants have come to try and solve enough word puzzles to get to the bonus round and spin the wheel. However, Pat Sajak will step down after more than 40 years hosting “Wheel of Fortune.”

“As previously announced, Wheel of Fortune Season 41, which began last week, will be the last for host Pat Sajak,” the statement said. “The show will celebrate 41 seasons with him at the helm. Co-host Vanna White has extended her contract for an additional two years, keeping her disclosure letter on the iconic puzzle board through the 2025-2026 season.”

Vanna White recently opened up about her time on “Wheel of Fortune” with Pat Sajak, referring to themselves as a “team of sisters.”

“I think when Merv Griffin picked the two of us, 40 and 41 years ago, he saw something between us — a sibling-type relationship,” White told PEOPLE. “And I think that’s kind of what it is. He saw that we would get along, and we did. We’re like a team of brothers.”

However, when reflecting on the end of their “Wheel of Fortune” run, White admitted it was “sad.”

“I don’t want to think about that. I mean, we’re a team,” White said. “That’s sad. I don’t want to think about it.”

Continuing, the 79-year-old said, “I can’t imagine. Everyone attributes Wheel of Fortune to Pat and Vanna. We’re like Ken and Barbie, you know? We’ve been in everyone’s house for 40 years, so it’s weird if someone else is handing in my letter.”
