Matthew Perry is an open book these days… seriously.
Following the release of her new memoir, “Friends, Lovers, and The Big Terrible Thing,” fans of the “Friends” star have learned who the real Perry is.
He talks about everything from dating life to addiction to losing a major role due to health problems caused by his addiction over the years.

Perry stopped by Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” on Monday, October 31, and opened up about her dating life.
As you may remember, the actor was engaged to Molly Hurwitz in 2020, but the couple called it off in 2021.
“Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them,” Perry said, in a statement. “I wish Molly the best.”

The couple has a 22-year age gap and started dating in 2018. At the time of their engagement, Perry said, “I decided to get engaged. Luckily, I happen to be dating the greatest woman on earth right now.”
During Monday’s episode, Perry told Cohen that she “hasn’t used a dating app in forever.”
The “Fools Rush In” star doesn’t believe technology is “a way to meet people.”

He added, “I’m not sure how… but that’s not the way to do it.”
Given Perry’s years of struggle with addiction and his current path to recovery, he was asked if he was looking for a sober romantic partner.
“That’s good. But it is not a necessity,” he admitted. “I don’t want to be with someone who drinks so much that you can’t recognize them. That’s not good. … But I don’t have any rules about that.”

Perry has dated many beautiful, intelligent and successful women over the years.
His list of ex-girlfriends includes Julia Roberts, Lizzy Caplan and more A-List celebrities.
He explains to Diane Sawyer why he has broken up with so many of these “wonderful” women.
“It’s a combination of feeling like I’m not enough, feeling like I’m needed, feeling like I’m not important,” Perry said. “I’ll be in a relationship that’s going well, and … I’ll be scared.”
Perry recently came under fire for sharing a well-kept secret between him and Valerie Bertinelli.
She claims that they had an affair while she was still legally married to the late Eddie Van Halen.
In an excerpt from her upcoming memoir, the “Friends” actress said that the cheering session happened right next to the rock musician, who was passed out from alcohol.

She also claimed that she was in love with Bertinelli, even though he was out of her league. In response to Perry’s revelations, the 62-year-old actress posted a video of herself writhing and waving on TikTok with the caption that she was ashamed of some of the things she did growing up. Many fans are now calling out the actor for revealing the embarrassing make-out session.
In a TikTok video, Bertinelli appeared to address allegations in Perry’s upcoming memoir that she had sex with him while she was still married to rock star Eddie Van Halen.

“Anyone behaving badly in their 20s and early 30s? Are you ashamed?” read the caption written on the video, per Insider.
In the clip, Bertinelli grins and shakes his head awkwardly, as Swift sings the lyrics, “It’s me, hey, I’m the one with the problem. It’s me.”
