Veteran voice actress learns she’s fired on social media after supporting Israel, bashing Hamas terrorists

Top cartoon voice actress Tara Strong has been let go from her role in the independent animated series “Boxtown” after she made series of posts about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

The actress, who voices characters on several Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon shows including “The PowerPuff Girls” and “Rugrats,” wrote in a post, still on her X account: “This is just the beginning. They’re smart to start with a country that people love to hate. This is just the beginning.”

He also liked a post that said “Islam is a real, clear and present danger.”

The rhetoric was slammed as Islamophobic, though Strong said he was simply anti-Hamas.

Strong found out he was fired from social media, and claimed he was fired from the show simply “for being Jewish.

“Just found out on Twitter!” he write on Xreferring to the former name of the social media platform.

“This is what happens when you help the fans make a show I guess. Fired for being Jewish. Glad I helped you get your startup money. Please remove my email address & pray for my family in Israel and in Gaza. & #prayforpeace.”

Strong, 50, wrote his statement in response to the show’s official account announcing that the role would be recast.

“Hello everyone! Just wanted to offer a quick update on Boxtown,” the account wrote on Oct. 12. “We will be recasting the role of Bill (previously played by Tara Strong). We will have more information soon about open auditions. Thank you all for your understanding as we reorient and figure out our next steps.”

The ordeal sparked outrage from fans, some of whom were quick to slam the show for cutting ties with Strong.

“I’ve seen this before,” wrote one, who echoed Strong’s claim that he was fired for being Jewish.

However, the show responded by share the post which says it boasts other Jewish actors and writers on its roster.

Later, Strong took aim at critics who cast him as “Islamophobic,” write, “I am talking about the terrorists of HAMAS. We must all stand against them.”

On Monday, the “Boxtown” account. deal with the decision to cut Strong loose in a statement on social media.

“This decision is due to trends in Tara’s recent online activity, including posts promoting controversial messages about Palestinians who are currently affected by the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian crisis,” the statement read in part.

“We believe that our public platform gives us a duty to exercise caution when it comes to hateful messages and misinformation online. This includes our cast and crew. This is not a difficult decision.”

“Our hearts go out to the Palestinian and Israeli children and families affected by the ongoing conflict. People should be able to live freely without being threatened by constant abuse and violence. We hope for the best,” the post concluded.
