Victoria Beckham Warned By PETA After Fashion Show Protest: ‘Don’t Be A Part Of The Bloodbath’

Citizens for the Ethical Treatment of Animals [PETA] see Victoria Beckham.

Just days after the television personality’s Paris Fashion Week show was interrupted by PETA activists urging her to ban animal skins from her collection, they’re upping the ante.

The animal rights group posted a video on social media pleading with Beckham to avoid being part of the “bloodshed” and go vegan for her fashion brand.

Although Beckham’s autumn-winter womenswear collection at the fashion show featured boxy blazers and sheer dresses, the event was overshadowed by activists from PETA who support the use of vegan leather.

The group have now followed up with a clip showing a blindfolded woman hitting a cow-shaped piñata at a party until what appear to be animal body parts and blood spills onto the floor.

Within seconds, the particle on the floor was surrounded by other partygoers, who took what they could from it. While some choose bags, others get shoes, and some others vie for fashion items.

The video closes with the first lady pulling her blindfold up to a bloody scene that shocks her. The words, “Over 1 billion animals are brutally killed for their skins every year. Don’t be part of the bloodbath. Wear vegan,” also appeared on the reel.

PETA reiterated its message in the caption accompanying the video, “This video will haunt you long after it’s over. Don’t be part of the bloodshed. #WearVegan.”

Other posts contained in the thread claimed, “It’s time everyone took off the blinders,” “Animal skin is always the product of extreme violence – no matter where it comes from. #LeatherTakesLives,” and “Animals are NOT cloth. Always choose ethical and eco-friendly skins made from apples, grapes, pineapples and mushrooms.”

Since posting clips on X, formerly known as Twitter, a few hours ago, it got a handful of reposts and replies. In fact, one viewer responded with a GIF of a man preparing to eat a steak in front of him, along with the sarcastic caption, “I’m haunted by not having a steak.”

On the drama at the Beckham event in Paris, BBC reported that PETA harassed him by joining his models on the runway. Protesters wore white T-shirts with messages such as “Behind animal skin” and “Animals not cloth” and held up banners that read “Viva vegan leather” in support of cruelty-free fashion.

Although the former Spice Girl’s fashion brand does not use leather or exotic fur, PETA has since noted that certain designs still use leather. As the president of the group, Mimi Bekhechi, stated:

“No clothing or accessory is worth the slaughter and skinning of sensitive and intelligent animals. We urge Victoria Beckham to turn to the ethical and eco-friendly innovations available today, such as luxury leather made from apples, grapes, pineapples, mushrooms and more.”

Turns out, Beckham isn’t the only celebrity to side with PETA this year. Just last month, Fox News revealed that the non-profit organization called Taylor Swift and her man, Travis Kelce, for their visit to the Sydney Zoo.

According to the outlet, the pair were seen enjoying a “private tour” date at the location before Swift’s concert as part of her ongoing “Eras Tour” in the city. Unfortunately, the move did not sit well with PETA, whose Director of Captive Animal Welfare, Debbie Metzler, stated in a statement:

“While we fully understand the appeal of seeing Australian wildlife, PETA hopes that the next time Taylor and Travis want to see wild animals, they will spend their time and money in a real sanctuary.”

In addition to being dragged for observing Australian wildlife, Swift and Kelce also faced criticism for feeding young kangaroos during their visit. Accordingly, PETA emphasizes that shelters are better than zoos, as they prohibit visitors from feeding or touching the animals.

US media later observed that Metzler’s use of the phrase “too good” was a clever way to use Swift’s 2012 song title and lyrics against her.
