Video shows 4 people sought over mass shooting at Morgan State University’s homecoming week

Newly released surveillance footage shows four people being sought in connection with a mass shooting that left five people injured during Morgan State University’s homecoming week.

The four were seen walking across the yard around the time of Tuesday night’s shooting, with three dressed in all black — including one who appeared to be covering his face, according to rough footage released early Thursday.

The clip then cuts to three of the group – including one in a white T-shirt carrying a backpack – rushing back in the opposite direction.

Police said the four people in the video were being sought because they were seen near the shooting at the historically black college, where photos showed the gunman may have fired through a window from inside a dormitory building.

Officials have not yet said how many people are believed to have opened fire.

The shooting is believed to have started as “a dispute between two smaller groups, and one individual was targeted by two individuals who had weapons,” Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said, according to ABC News.

Five people – four men and one woman between the ages of 18 and 22 – were shot and taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Four of the victims were MSU students, ABC reported.

Responding officers noticed that several windows near the 1700 block of Argonne Drive on campus had been broken, indicating that shots may have come from a dormitory hall, WJZ reporter Kelsey Kushner said at the time.

“There are believed to be three shooters shooting at the crowd,” Baltimore City Councilman Ryan Dorsey wrote in Xformerly known as Twitter.

Just before the shooting, MSU students, parents and alumni gathered inside the Murphy Fine Arts Center to crown Mr. and Ms. MSU, president David Wilson explained at a news conference Wednesday.

Most of the crowd was heading to the student center for more events when the shooting happened, Wilson added.

All homecoming weekend events — including the big football game — have been canceled or postponed until police arrest the suspect, the university announced.
