Eye-opening dashcam footage shows a pickup truck speeding off a highway and plowing into a row of gas station pumps in New Mexico on Sunday.
The startling video was captured by a fellow driver on his way from Seattle to Mississippi when he was moments away from entering the same Speedway gas station in La Plata around 6 p.m.
A pickup truck cleared most of the gas pumps during Sunday’s crash.
The gray pickup truck got caught on barrel tape into at least two gas pumps, leaving a huge fireball behind and causing the overhang to quickly collapse to the ground.
The driver, who had a medical episode, had been traveling north on New Mexico Highway 170 before veering off the road, authorities said.
“Oh my god!” exclaimed Tyler Turner, the driver who captured the moment on his dashcam while he was chatting with someone else.
The moment was captured on video by a fellow driver.
“What the f–k? What the f–k?”
After clearing the gas pump, the truck finally stopped after crashing into a metal fence, according to additional footage recorded by Turner.
The driver behind the out-of-control truck claimed he did not remember the accident, the San Juan Sheriff’s Office said. Authorities do not believe alcohol was involved.
Turner reportedly said he was told by sheriff’s officials that the woman had a seizure that led to the crash.
The fiery accident left the station in total.
The driver of the pickup truck was miraculously unhurt and no one else was injured during the horrific incident, the sheriff’s office said.
“The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office reminds individuals with health problems to adhere to prescribed treatment and to exercise caution when operating a motor vehicle,” the law enforcement agency said.
