Career
Vijay Chavan entered the world of theater through an inter-college drama competition. He made his theater debut with the Marathi play “Turtur.”
Vijay is best known for portraying a female character named ‘Mavshi’ in the Marathi stage play “Moruchi Mavshi,” a play written by Pralhad Keshav Atre.
He made his Marathi film debut with “Vahinichi Maya” (1985).
He has appeared in many Marathi films including Zapatlela (1993), Pachhadlela (2004), Bharat Aala Parat (2007), Maherchi Sadi (1991), Jatra: Hyalagaad Re Tyalagaad (2006), Mumbaicha Dabewala (2007), and A Dot Com Mother (2016).
