It (directing) is not a deliberate attempt. I wanted to direct films since last 12-13 years. It took me a long time to write the subject. Directing a movie is like being the captain of a ship. I have been a technician behind the camera where I have been involved in the costume department. But storytelling is the ultimate thing. I won’t do a remake because I want to develop my own script. But I don’t think I can do horror or sex or comedy as a genre. All I can do is romance or social drama, two genres I know I’m comfortable with. Also, when I write my second film, I won’t decide on the language — but if not now, eventually, I will do a Hindi film. That is something I know for sure.”
