Looks like Vince McMahon is back in the WWE boardroom!
After he was hit with shocking allegations of sexual misconduct and hush money, in a surprising move, he retired from WWE to possibly ride out the storm for a while.
Vince McMahon Teases Return to WWE Amid Sales Reports
Although he officially retired due to reports of misconduct, the 77-year-old still has majority voting rights as the company’s owner and former chief executive.
Confirming his return to the wrestling giant, he submitted a written agreement that will elect him and former directors Michelle Wilson and George Barrios back to the board. According to Metro, the businessman reportedly said:
“WWE is entering a critical juncture in its history with upcoming media rights negotiations coinciding with increased industry-wide demand for quality content and live events and with more companies seeking to own intellectual property on their platforms.”

He added that the only way for the company to fully benefit from the opportunity is for him to return and assist the management team during negotiations for their media rights alongside the evaluation of strategic alternatives.
McMahon stated this return would foster an easier engagement between WWE and any parties to the transaction as they would realize the support of the controlling shareholders.
He also expressed his interest in working collaboratively with the “Board and management team,” especially Wilson and Barrios. Describing them as “highly qualified directors,” he said their years of professional experience would help the company obtain the best possible results in the initiative. He went on to say:
“I look forward to working closely again with Michelle and George – as well as the Company’s remaining directors and management team, who have my full support and confidence.”
The former CEO revealed that he believes in the greatness of the extraordinary team and has no intention of interfering with their “tasks, roles, or responsibilities”. His statement came after a “Wall Street Journal report,” which revealed that he allegedly paid hush money to several women after being accused of affairs and sexual misconduct.
He also informed the board that he wanted to return to help lead the review process. The report also stated that the board responded favorably to the request but unanimously agreed that the decision may not be in the best interest of their shareholders.
According to the publication, sources revealed that the former wrestling promoter told them he would only support or approve any deal or sale of media rights if he was directly and actively involved.

While discussing his retirement, he expressed confidence in the bright future of WWE and the team. He added, “I am leaving our company in the capable hands of an incredible group of Superstars, employees and executives – especially, Chairman and CEO Stephanie McMahon and Co-CEO Nick Khan.”
He stated that his continued support is assured and thanked the community, shareholders, business partners, and Directors for their guidance and support.
‘Alpha Entertainment’ Owner Ready To Release New Memoir
Almost no one will turn down a book full of twists, turns, and intrigue. This might happen if WWE CEO Vince McMahon’s story is written and released. The Blast shared that the former professional entertainer has been shopping for a publisher for her memoir.
It will be an interesting story focusing on his rise and building his multi-billion dollar enterprise. According to Page Six, “It’s basically his memoir about building WWE. There have been other bios about him and WWE in the past, but this is his memoir told in his voice about his rise and his life.”
It was also revealed that the memoir is one of many mediums out there interested in telling his story, as it will also be featured in the series “The United States of America Vs. Vince McMahon.”
The TV show will cover the 1994 trial, where he was accused of making steroids available to WWE talent and later acquitted of all charges. Additionally, a four-part documentary to star on Netflix is also in the works.
