Grant joined WWE in 2019 during a challenging period in his life and formed a relationship with McMahon who allegedly took advantage of his vulnerability.
According to the lawsuit, “The two met in March 2019, when Ms. Grant was dealing with deep grief and struggling financially – after devoting years to full-time caregiving, her parents died. On top of that, he was unemployed, and his family home was lost in his parents’ bankruptcy.”
At first, Grant regarded McMahon as a supportive figure, but the 43-year-old soon began to feel otherwise. The filing accuses McMahon of sexually exploiting her and trafficking her to other executives in the company.
Text messages presented in the filing claim that McMahon shared explicit photos of Grant, making inappropriate comments. In one of the alleged messages, McMahon wrote, “He’s probably screaming and trying to say NO!! though it would be hard to say anything with the ac— down his throat.”
Another message allegedly sent from McMahon to Grant read: “I’m the only one who owns U and controls who I want to f— U.”
John Laurinaitis, a former WWE executive and wrestler, was also named as a defendant in the lawsuit, although he was terminated from WWE in 2022.

According to the filing, McMahon reportedly distanced himself from Grant in January 2022 after his wife, Linda McMahon, discovered their affair.
The lawsuit alleges that McMahon pressured Grant to keep quiet about the relationship, warning him that Linda might file for divorce, leading to reputational damage.
McMahon then ordered Grant to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) and promised help from “WWE’s No. 1 Corporate Officer” in finding alternative employment. Grant, who leaves WWE in early 2022, received an initial $1 million of his $3 million NDA in February.
However, she claims that McMahon forced her to perform a final sexual act before their breakup. “As Ms. Grant knelt on the hard floor, barely a few feet from the front door, McMahon opened her robe and ordered her to ‘Eat her!'” the filing accused.
It states that McMahon continued to sexually assault Grant “until she choked and pushed him, telling him to stop and he couldn’t breathe.”
The former WWE staffer claimed that he never saw McMahon again after the violent encounter.
