“Jersey Shore” star Vinny Guadagnino is now speaking out after learning about “Bachelor” alum Gabby Windey’s new relationship.
Guadagnino and Windey competed on the same season of “Dancing With the Stars,” and even sparked relationship rumors at one point after the two were caught flirting on Instagram.
Although the two never dated, Guadagnino and Windey became close to each other and considered each other close friends. Now, just days after Windey announced his new relationship with girlfriend Robby Hoffman, the “Jersey Shore” star is speaking out and showing his support for Windey.

In a new interview with Access, Vinny Guadagnino commented on Gabby Windey’s new relationship, saying “I found out with the whole world, […] but I’m just happy for him.”
He continued, “He was a great person, a great human being.” The “Jersey Shore” star went on to say that the two have never dated, despite flirting on social media. “We’ve never dated, it’s just a big deal […] you know we’re both just in the show [“Dancing With the Stars”] at the same time and we left each other an emoji, so yeah he’s a great friend. He’s great so I’m happy for him.”
“Yeah, she’s a great girl,” he concluded.
Windey sparked rumors among fans after she and fellow “DWTS” contestant Vinny Guadagnino began flirting on Instagram.
“It was like something and then, now I’m … I don’t know,” Windey said on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast in March. “We are still talking. We came on a visit for a week and we had a great time together. And he’s just a good friend. He gets it, you know? Like, she spends her life on reality TV. He is really smart. He is really funny. He’s hot.”

Last week, Gabby Windey announced that she is gay, and is currently dating girlfriend Robby Hoffman. “I’ve always wanted to live my truth, and my story,” Windey said on “The View.” “So I’ve been seeing someone for a few months, and I’ve kept it a secret because it’s like a bigger story and a bigger conversation, because I’m dating a girl!”
“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin said she “didn’t see that twist coming,” to which Winey responded with, “I don’t think anyone did. No, I didn’t either.”
Windey also took to Instagram to share more about her new relationship.
“Hey, guys,” he began saying in his video, “There’s a lot to say, honestly, and it’s hard to finish right now. But I know everyone is really curious about who I’m dating, and thank you,” continued Windey. “You know I like to like, stir the pot and tease, but I want to wait until I’m ready,” he said.
The former “Bachelor” continued, “Because it’s a bigger conversation. Because I’m dating a girl,” he happily announced. “Honestly, it’s been the best experience of the last three months, and I’ve been in a relationship that I feel I’ve never experienced it before. But I want to tell you all, because I always want to live my life honestly and have you all with me,” he said.
