Last night, Vinny Guadagnino performed the cha-cha to “Save the Last Dance for Me,” earning a total score of 36 out of 50 points.

Guadagnino was obviously not doing his best, as he tripped and started the dance with several mishaps. However, most of the judges praised him for trying and bringing a smile to the dance floor. Grammy award-winning singer Michael Bublé was a guest judge and called the routine “amazing,” while Derek Hough referred to it as “the people’s champion.”

Len Goodman, however, didn’t hold back and told it like it was, calling the routine “a mess,” which you could see got Guadagnino emotional. Luckily, thanks to fans, the “Jersey Shore” star didn’t go home and will be back next week.

After the show, Guadagnino and his partner talked about their performance.

“I fumbled, like, a few of my steps at first … I know that, I’m not denying it at all,” he told AS. “So, however he wants to judge that he can. I’m glad we recovered and kept going [because] it’s still a fire dance, you know, And we’ve done it many times, start to finish, obviously. … I try not to beat myself up for being in last place.”

A few weeks ago, the “Jersey Shore” cast member opened up about her experience so far and thanked her fans for their support. “Guys, you saved me again. I made it one more week on ‘Dancing With the Stars’,” Guadagnino said. “[I] has the lowest score again.”

He continued, “It’s fun, but it’s challenging and there’s a lot to go through. I’m really on a journey here and you all kind of saved me and kept me going with the vote so I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

The 34-year-old admits that she’s not a dancer by any means, and she never knows what to expect from “Dancing With the Stars” each week, but she knows the reason she’s still competing is because of her fans.

“Thank you and I’ll keep moving forward, trying to find more dances that work for me [and] that’s fun,” he continued. “I was there at the end and that’s what counts, right?”

Vinny Guadagnino will be back competing next week when “Dancing With the Stars” airs a Halloween-themed episode on Disney+ on Monday, October 31.
