Violent clashes have erupted at pro-Palestinian rallies around the world following a sneak attack on Israel by radical Islamic terrorists on Saturday.
Authorities in Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles and other major US cities were called to quell clashes at mass demonstrations over the weekend, as pro-Israel protesters clashed with supporters of a surprise attack on the Jewish State that has caused more 800 people were killed. .
Similar gatherings have developed in London and Sydney.
“We’re here because we think everyone in the United States is funding Israeli apartheid,” Natalie Villasana, of the Socialism and Liberation Party, told PBS during a demonstration outside the Israeli consulate in Atlanta Sunday.
Counter-protester Talai Segal, a student at Georgia Tech University, responded in support of Israel.
“Violence is never allowed,” Segal told reporters. “Their target is Israeli civilians.”

The attack saw Hamas terrorists indiscriminately kill families, women, children, take hostages back to Gaza and slaughter 260 innocent people at a music festival near the Gaza strip on Saturday. They also fired over 3,000 rockets into Israel.
In Chicago, hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters rallied outside the Israeli consulate in the city on Sunday, targeting the country’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Netanyahu you will see, Palestine will be free,” the crowd chanted.
Another rally is being planned for Monday, the Toronto Sun reported, drawing sharp criticism from Mayor Olivia Chow. He claimed the “rally in support of Hamas” planned outside City Hall was “without permission, without a permit and I strongly condemn it,” according to the newspaper.
“We need [Toronto officials] to stop this hate rally and condemn the war crimes and mass killings of Israelis that we have seen over the past few days,” Toronto Councilor James Pasternak posted on X.
“@cityoftoronto must take a firm stand against terrorism.”

Violence erupted at another rally in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, when a group of counter-protesters confronted pro-Palestinian protesters on Sunday, CBS-TV News reported.
“A group of four of us were attacked by maybe 30 people,” Palestinian supporter Aldair Labarda told the media. “I was pepper sprayed three times in the face. I was punched in the face repeatedly, I was punched in the head, I was punched in the chest, my shirt was torn.”
The meeting came on the same day hundreds of protesters on both sides clashed in New York City, where a pro-Palestinian supporter was pictured holding a swastika on his mobile phone.
Video footage captured another group stepping on an Israeli flag, tearing it up and setting it on fire — sparking clashes between the two sides near Times Square. Police said there were three arrests.
“The people of Israel are facing violent terrorist attacks and kidnappings of civilians,” outraged Gov. Kathy Hochul said in a statement before a rally by the city’s chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America.

“I condemn the plan to rally in Times Square tomorrow in support of the perpetrators of this horrific act,” Hochul said. “The planned assembly is disgusting and morally repugnant.”
Meanwhile, French police have arrested 10 people in connection with reported antisemitic acts since the Hamas attack on Israel, including threats against synagogues or people visiting Jewish shops.
Prosecutors have also opened 44 investigations into online antisemitic hate speech or posts glorifying terrorism-related violence, according to Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin’s office.
