Vishhal Nikam is an Indian gym trainer turned actor who works mostly in the Marathi entertainment industry. He is best known for playing the lead role in the Marathi language television show ‘Dakkhancha Raja Jyotiba’ (2020).

He attended two schools, NSV Devihindi and Smt. Kasturbai Walchand College (Junior), both at Sangli. He pursued his Bachelor of Science (Physics) degree at Balwant College, Vita, Maharashtra. After that, he enrolled himself in Baburaoji Gholap College, Pune, where he pursued his Master of Science (Physics). After completing his formal education, he moved to Mumbai, the entertainment capital of India, to pursue a career in acting.

Vishhal Nikam started his career as a gym trainer. While working at Gold’s Gym in Kandivali, Mumbai, she modeled for various magazine shoots.

In the Marathi television series ‘Saataa Jalmaachyaa Gaathi’ (2019), Vishhal played the role of Yuvraj. Unfortunately, the show did not air before the shutdown. He rose to fame after playing the lead role in the 2020 Marathi devotional television series ‘Dakkhancha Raja Jyotiba.’ According to Hindu mythology, King Jyotiba, the warrior god, was born with the triune power of the three gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.

In the 2021 Marathi historical show ‘Jai Bhawani Jai Shivaji,’ he portrays the iconic role of Shivaji Maharaj’s brave warrior named Shiva Kashid, who disguises himself as Shivaji Maharaj to help him escape from the Panhala fort. The show depicts the heroic story of warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji, who fought alongside him.
Vishhal Nikam gained huge popularity for appearing in reality television game show Bigg Boss Marathi (season 3) as a contestant in 2021.

The fitness buff’s chiseled body, which he constantly flaunts on his Instagram account, has been featured in TOI publications several times. Earlier, he was ranked no. 3 in 2019 and was in the top 15 of the 2018 list.
- The gym trainer-turned-actor showed off his amazing bodybuilding skills as he gained 12 kg in 20 days to play Lord Jyotiba in 2020. Born and brought up in Sangli district of Maharashtra, Vishhal’s Kolhapuri accent made him perfect for the role. . The dedicated actor also learned to ride a horse in a week for the role. While talking about the challenges faced by him to portray the role of Lord Jyotiba, in an interview, he said,
After my audition, I was told to upgrade, which I did in 20 days! It is challenging to do so with gyms in the state still closed. So, I asked a friend who owns a gym to give me access to it for a few days. I also learned to ride a horse in a week instead of the 20 or so days it usually takes to pick up the skill.”
Furthermore, due to his busy shooting schedule, Vishhal could not concentrate on maintaining his physique, an essential requirement for the role of Lord Jyotiba. Hence, he got an interesting idea to exercise on the set using the shooting equipment on the set.
