Vrushali was born on Sunday, 15 January 1984 (age 38 years; in 2022) in Mumbai. His zodiac sign is Capricorn. He went to Sheth MA High School in Andheri West, Mumbai. She was a very studious child at school, and to get her to participate in extracurricular activities, her parents enrolled her in dance classes. They changed her school because it was too far away, and there was no time left to attend dance classes. She studied various dance forms from Nalanda Nrityakala Mahavidyalaya in Mumbai. He completed his high school at St. Blaise in Andheri West, Mumbai, which is close to his home. Her parents are very supportive of her pursuing a career in dance. He went on to study for a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts for five years at Cosmopolitan College in Mumbai.

Vrushali says that she did not choose dancing, dancing chose her. When the auditions for ‘Dance India Dance’ opened, her brother, Prasen, filled an online audition form for her and urged her to go to the audition and sing any song. In 2009, Vrushali auditioned for the first season of the dance TV show ‘Dance India Dance’ (DID) where she was selected and became part of Terence Lewis’ team. He became famous after being a contestant on the show.

Choreographer

After being a contestant on the TV show ‘Dance India Dance,’ she got the opportunity to choreograph dance acts in many reality dance shows. She started her career as a choreographer in the show ‘Dance India Dance: Li’l Masters’ in 2010. Farah Khan, who is an Indian filmmaker and choreographer, was a judge on the show and asked Vrushali to be her assistant after seeing her performance with famous Bollywood choreographer Geeta Kapur. The first song he choreographed as an assistant was ‘Fevicol Se’ from the 2012 film ‘Dabangg 2.’ In 2010, she worked in the reality dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ season 4 where she worked as a choreographer for actor Dayanand Shetty. In 2015, she guided in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ season 8 where her partner was Ashish Chaudhary, who is an actor. He is known for his choreography in many popular Bollywood films including ‘Chennai Express’ (2013), ‘Happy New Year’ (2014), ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015) and many more.

She made her acting debut with the Bollywood film ‘ABCD: Any Body Can Dance’ where many dancers/participants from DID were cast alongside Indian choreographers Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya. She has worked in the 2011 Indian comedy sitcom ‘Best of Luck Nikki’ where she played the role of Preeti Piyush Prasad Pandey. In 2018, she was cast as the lead alongside Ishtiyak Khan in the short drama film ‘Prem Gajra Ani Chilli Chicken’ directed by Sharad Malhotra; she plays Ishtiyak Khan’s wife Indu.
